Because, thanks to you, A LITTLE TOO FAR debuted on the USA Today bestseller list!!!
It really does take a village, so I also want to thank everyone over at New Leaf Literary and William Morrow/HarperCollins. I have been privileged to have an amazing group of people in my corner from day one. And I also want to thank authors Jennifer L. Armentrout, Cora Carmack, and Jay Crownover for taking the time to read and blurb A LITTLE TOO FAR, and super-blogger extraordinaire, Maryse, for getting the word out to so many people. Thanks, also, to my blog tour hosts, Natalie at Love Between the Sheets, Rachel and Jamie at Rock Stars Book Tours, Lisa at A Life Bound by Books, and Lisa at Tasty Reads Book Reviews, as well as all the bloggers who graciously agreed to host tour stops. It's only because of your love of books that I can keep writing them, so thank you!
So, cupcakes all around! You guys are the best!
And, in celebration, here's a snippet from the upcoming A LITTLE TOO MUCH:
As we sway with the movement of the train, his body brushes against mine, and by the time we stop at Fiftieth, he’s pressed tight against me. I don’t know whether it’s that I’ve shifted back into him, or he’s leaning forward into me, but whatever it is, what I do know is neither of us is breathing. There’s a palpable charge, like static electricity, with every subtle shift of his body against mine, and when the doors slide open, neither of us moves for a several beats of my pounding heart.
Finally, I have no choice.
“Hilary,” he says as I step away from him onto the platform, and that one word sounds like a prayer. I turn and his expression is guarded. He looks at me with pleading eyes, like there’s something more than my name he wanted me to hear. Like he just poured his heart out and he’s waiting for some response. But before I can figure out what those deep eyes are asking, the doors close, and a second later, he’s whisked off through the tunnel.
