Happy Brazilian Birthday to Personal Demons!

Happy Monday!

I was sooooo busy giving away ARCs of Original Sin last week that I didn’t have time to wish Personal Demons a HAPPY BIRTHDAY in Brazil! My baby is roaming the streets of Rio and Sao Paulo, making friends and seeing sights =)

The Brazilian cover is totally cool.

There are quotes from Frannie, Luc and Gabe on the jacket flap, which is fun, and a table of contents inside.

All I can say is that it must take a lot more words to tell a story in Portuguese, because chapter 23 (the last) starts on page 456. The whole English version is only 368 pages. O_O
So, anyway, happy Brazilian birthday to Personal Demons! Now I just need to find someone who speaks Portuguese to read it to me so I know what it says! Any volunteers? ;p

  3. Yes, the translation from english to portuguese always (at least from my experience) results in a bigger book, there are a lot of english words one can't really translate to portuguese (and probably to other languages) without using two words or more, so it won't lose its meaning. Anyway: happy birthday brazilian Personal Demons!;) (btw Lisa, any idea when it will come out in Portugal? I see on the sidebar the publisher will be Saída de Emergência.)

  4. Yay! Personal Demons hit stores this week in Brazil. Everybody is talking about it and I must say: all the girls can't wait to meet Daniel and Luc.

I hope you can come to Brazil someday. I would love to have your autograph in my PD.

    All the best!

  5. The black front pages look really cool. Congratulations on the Brazilian release, and Original Sin's lovely bluish cover. Looking forward to it! (And caught a glimpse of it in the Tor Spring/Summer Catalogue...sounds intriguing.)
