Achtung, baby!

There are lots of really fabulous things about being published, but one of the funnest (yes, I know funnest isn't a word, but I'm too excited to care :p) is when I get to announce stuff like this:

So, German people will be reading my book…in GERMAN! OMG! It’s kinda messing with my head that there’ll be something out there in the world that I wrote, but CAN’T READ! O_O

Here's the little place in Germany I'm gonna buy when A LITTLE TOO FAR sells a bazillion copies there. =) Nice view, eh? I could get used to that... LOL.

Thanks so much to the lovely Kathleen Ortiz at New Leaf Literary for making this happen, and smooches to Germany!

And to all of you, I'll be back out from my writing cocoon soon with more giveaways. Final A LITTLE TOO MUCH revisions are due to my fabulous editor Monday, and A LITTLE TOO HOT (working title bk 3) is due on Thursday. And it is. Hot, I mean. :D

So check back for chances to win cool stuff, like signed A LITTLE TOO FAR ARCs and more!

Achtung Baby!

Since this just posted on German Amazon, I'm deciding it's okay to share it here.

Here is the German cover of Original Sin, or as they're titling it, Im Bann der Dunkelheit, which translates into The Curse of Darkness.

What do you think? In case you forgot, here's the German cover of Between Heaven and Hell, or Personal Demons.

I think they'll look really nice side by side on my bookshelf =)

Hope all you American readers had a happy Thanksgiving! Things here are settling down so I'll be around more. I've missed you! I think I have to give away more books to let you know how much. And, if you're still waiting on a book, I promise I'll get to the post office this week. =)

One of the funnest parts of being published...

Yes, I know funnest isn't a word, but I'm too excited to care :p

These just came on the boat from Germany today =) This is fun! #justsayin' There are words inside that I wrote, but can't read:

Squee! :p

Don't forget your last day to enter for a query and first chapter critique by yours truly ends tomorrow at noon. (PST) If you haven't entered yet, get over there. It never expires (unless I do) and it's fully transferable, so you have nothing to lose =)

Happy Birthday Angel Eyes!! (aka: German Personal Demons)

I've always wanted to go to Germany, but so far, I haven't made it.

But now my book has! The German edition of Personal Demons releases today! Germany was my very first foreign sale. As a matter of fact, when I got the call from my truly fabulous agent that Rowohlt had pre-empted the Personal Demons trilogy, I didn't even know we were on foreign submission, so it was a huge and very happy surprise. I'm thrilled that they've put my baby in such a pretty package!

Now I just need to find someone who speaks German to read it to me =) So, happy birthday Angel Eyes! Squeee!!! If any of you are in Germany and see it on the shelves, snap a shot for me!

German Personal Demons Cover

This is kind of exciting for me. It's my first foreign cover! My German publisher, Rowoholt, has retitled Personal Demons. Its German name is Angel Eyes. They've also done a whole new cover (to go with the Angel Eyes theme).
I translated the tagline and it says "between Heaven and Hell."

So, what do you think?

I'm featured in GalleyCat!

So, I was in the middle of Original Sin revisions when I got the link to this from Colleen Lindsay on Twitter. The German deal is obviously nothing I didn’t know already, but it's in GalleyCat! Yay! This is so fun! (or funny looking if you look at the picture)

This makes me want to do that.-->

My German editor, Katharina, left a very nice comment on my post about the deal. I can’t wait to work with her. =)

Now I'm gonna go have one of these to celebrate.

What’s your big news?

Achtung Baby!

Personal Demons is officially in production. Yay! And since we have a “near final” draft (things will change a little with copy edits) FinePrint submitted Personal Demons to German agents on Tuesday.

My truly fabulous agent called this morning with GREAT news! We received a pre-empt today from German publisher Rowohlt. Apparently, they’re “very eager” about Personal Demons, which is good, cuz so am I. =) So, German people will be reading my book…in GERMAN! OMG! It’s kinda messing with my head that there’ll be something out there in the world that I wrote, but CAN’T READ! O_O

Here's the little place in Germany I'm gonna buy when Personal Demons sells a bazillion copies there. =) Nice view, eh? I could get used to that...

Suzie says we’ll be going out to the rest of the world in the next few weeks. *bites nails* It's a big place.

In the meantime, I’m revising Original Sin so I can send it off to my super-stupendous crit partner.

What are you all working on? Anything wild happening in your WIP? Love to hear it =)
